Here I am on New Year's Eve contemplating the festivities of the evening and i thought about the fireworks that are set to go off tonight around the world. As most of you know I'm not a fan of fireworks, at least not the ones done here in the USA. Seeing the hanabi (japanese word for fireworks that means fire flower) in Japan really did ruin fireworks for me because now everything else is just less marvelous, usually much less marvelous. I try not to be snobby, fireworks are nice and enjoyable, it's just hard to find them impressive ;) Reminiscing about the hanabi I found this little video that might give you an idea of what fireworks can really do. so I finally found the cord to the camera...

I drove home through the Alpine Loop route one night in late October after work...it was pretty breathtaking.

Hood To Coast

Yeah I know it was like 3 months ago...but I thought I'd post the one and only picture taken with my camera right before our 4:15am start time...
