I've been taking a DSLR class at UVU on Tuesday nights for the last month and it's been a great experience for me. I'm learning a lot about how to really use my camera. This last Saturday morning our class met at Utah Lake State Park to take some pictures in the morning light. I took a lot of photos and experimented with shutter speed, aperture and other various settings. Here are a few that turned out okay ;)

Wow! Is it the new camera, the photography class, your skill and cunning and patience, or maybe all 3 with a little luck thrown in for good measure? That first landscape is awesome with lights and shadows and colors. Timp never looked so good. What's a ladybug doing out and about in February and how did you find her? Did you use an amber spotlight to produce the leaf glow? Did you bleach the fish bones? What is #5--a sign? And that pony...it's mesmerizing! How close were you???
Beautiful! I love the different textures!
Excellent. You don't seem to be a amateur you look like a professional. Very good photos. Thank you for sharing. Please visit my blog

Awesome sis! You need to come photograph our lady bugs. (There's a little colony of them in the house that we're slowly inviting to leave...)
